• MIDI Programmer Guarantee (Pro 10X). Use Composer Assistant for 30 days from purchase. If it doesn't feel like having a MIDI Programmer sitting next to you, tell us and you get a full refund, no questions.
• Founding Member guarantee (September 2026). A full refund if, after the onboarding session and the first live class, Composer Assistant wasn't what we said it was. That window closed on 24 September 2026.
• In the EU or the UK, you can also cancel within 14 days. The law gives you this right, and our guarantees never shorten it. Downloading the plugin doesn't remove it.
• Wherever you live, if Composer Assistant is faulty or not as described, you have the legal right to a fix, or failing that a price reduction or a refund.
• To ask for a refund or cancel, email hi@cinematiccomposing.com from the address you bought with. Refunds go back to the way you paid, within 14 days.

The MIDI Programmer Guarantee (Pro 10X)

On a film composer's team, the MIDI Programmer is the person who takes the sketch and turns it into a mock-up. Composer Assistant should feel like having a MIDI Programmer sitting next to you.

• Use it for 30 days, counted from the day you bought.
• If it doesn't feel like that, tell us — email hi@cinematiccomposing.com from the address you bought with, within those 30 days.
• You get a full refund, no questions. Everything you paid for the offer goes back to your original payment method.
• When the refund is issued, your Composer Assistant license and plan end.

This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights below, and doesn't replace or shorten them.

The Founding Member guarantee (closed)

The Founding Member offer (sold at cinematiccomposing.com/checkout/composer-assistant in September 2026) came with this promise: come to the onboarding session and get everything installed, then come to the first live class with Marc — the day your license switched on — and if Composer Assistant wasn't what we said it was, tell us and we'd refund you in full. The terms are in section 17 of Cinematic Composing's Terms & Conditions. Requests had to arrive by 11:59 pm Pacific Time on Thursday, 24 September 2026. That window has closed. The guarantee was in addition to your legal rights, and didn't replace them.

Your right to cancel (EU, EEA and UK consumers)

You can cancel within 14 days. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period ends 14 days after the day you bought. If we didn't give you this information when you bought, the period can be longer. Our guarantees are in addition to this right and never shorten it.

How to cancel. Tell us clearly that you want to cancel — for example, by email to hi@cinematiccomposing.com from the address you bought with. You can use the model form below, but you don't have to. To meet the deadline, you only need to send your message before the period ends.

What happens next. We refund everything you paid within 14 days of hearing from you, using the same way you paid, at no cost to you. Your access to cloud generation then ends, and you must stop using and uninstall the plugin. The takes you already made remain yours.

If you asked us to start straight away. Composer Assistant's cloud generation is a service. If you asked us at checkout to start providing it during the 14 days and then cancel, you pay an amount in proportion to what we provided before you told us, compared with the whole contract. If you didn't make that request, or we didn't give you this information before you bought, you pay nothing.

If Composer Assistant is faulty or not as described

Composer Assistant must work as described for as long as your plan runs. If it doesn't, tell us and we'll fix it within a reasonable time. If we can't, you're entitled to a price reduction or to end your plan with a refund, including any prepaid amount for the rest of your plan. No time limit on this page limits these rights.

Monthly plans

When we offer monthly plans, their cancellation and refund terms will be shown before you buy.

How refunds are paid

• Refunds are issued by Cinematic Composing to the original payment method.
• When a refund is issued, access to what it covers ends — including the plugin and its cloud generation.

Nothing here limits your rights

Nothing on this page limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country where you live. If anything in our Terms conflicts with this page, the term that's better for you applies.
