Every version of Composer Assistant, newest first. When a new version is out, the plugin shows "Version X is available": press Update to download it from your account.

1.0.11 — 28 Sep 2026

• FROM YOUR TRACK. Put your MIDI clip on Composer Assistant's own track, press READY - PLAY YOUR DAW, then press Play in your DAW. Composer Assistant takes the exact notes, 4 or 8 bars from the bar of the first note, and they land in WHAT like a dropped file. Works with the VST3 and AU plugin, on Mac and Windows (tested in Cubase and Ableton Live on Mac).
• A short film shows you how. The first time you press FROM YOUR TRACK, a 15-second film shows the setup over the whole plugin. Watch it again any time from the (i) button or "show me how".
• It tells you when no notes arrive. If your DAW is playing but no notes reach Composer Assistant, you see "Playing, but no MIDI yet" and a link to the film.
• A hint for Logic, GarageBand and Ableton (macOS). Those DAWs can't hand a clip's notes to a plugin. Drag one of their clips onto WHAT and Composer Assistant tells you why, and points you to FROM YOUR TRACK.
• Audio events from Cubase now land. Drag an audio event from Cubase straight onto WHAT.

1.0.10 — 27 Sep 2026

• YOUR TAKE is now a feed. Every take gets its own row, newest on top, with its audio and both kinds of MIDI side by side. New takes slide in as they arrive. The feed keeps your last 40 takes, plus every take you pin.
• A new layout. YOUR TAKE gets the full-height column; FOLLOW moves to the bottom row.
• The MIDI guide, with pictures. The BETA (i) next to the MIDI options opens a one-page guide to the MIDI take.
• You can see how many parts a MIDI take holds ("MIDI · 3 stems").

1.0.8 — 27 Sep 2026

• One press, both kinds of MIDI. A take can carry "MIDI of the audio" (the notes the take's audio actually plays) and "Independent MIDI" (written from your settings). Switch between them with two tabs, after the take arrives.
• BETA (i). One page that explains the MIDI take and what's ready for each instrument.
• Chord takes now land exactly on the bar.

1.0.7 — 26 Sep 2026

• SNAP: takes land on the bar. Every take comes in your session's tempo and meter, with beat one exactly one bar in. Drop it on the bar before and it lands on the click.
• The MIDI take (BETA). Choose AUDIO, MIDI or BOTH under PRODUCE. The MIDI arrives as standard MIDI files, one per part, ready to play with your own libraries.

1.0.5 — 22 Sep 2026

• PRODUCE. The main button, formerly GENERATE, has its new name.
• The chord staff. Click a chord symbol to see its notes on a grand staff, and change them.
• REC on the bar. Record 4 or 8 bars with a count-in; recording stops by itself on the last barline. Pick your input, channel and click output, and line up your recording, from the gear.
• Play, pause and stop your takes, and click anywhere in a take to jump there.

1.0.4 — 18 Sep 2026

• "Version X is available." The plugin tells you when a new version is out, with an Update button.
• The usage ring. On plans with a monthly allowance, a ring shows how much of this month's usage you've used.
• Plan status. When a plan's term ends, the plugin says so and offers "Choose a plan".

The first version founding members downloaded, on 17 September.

• FOLLOW suggests changes both ways, raising or lowering a strength to match what you gave it.
• Key Strength sits on the KEY row.

• FOLLOW. See what Composer Assistant will follow from your idea (melody, chords, rhythm and key), with a recommended strength for each and a one-click Set.
• Key check. If the key you picked doesn't fit your chords, the plugin suggests one that does.
• Your plan's name shows in the header, apart from the Sign out button.
